This wooden lamp is a visual representation of how adults/parents benefit off their children's accomplishments, even if it is damaging to the child. Keeping the warmth and glory for oneself. 

I purposely have the children as the foundation, propping up the parents. Far away from the candle, in the cold shadow of one another. 

Leaving the children living in their parents shadow, as well as each others shadows.
